Polymer Concrete Innovation Center

The applied science of polymer concrete.

The Polymer Concrete Innovation Center is an applied industrial research institute dedicated to advancing polymer concrete science — from cure behavior and mix design to long-term durability and new applications. We study how the material actually behaves, engage seriously with the research literature, and follow where the industry is heading.

Polymer concrete has been quietly solving problems that Portland cement can't for fifty years. We think it deserves a more rigorous account of how and why.

PCIC is the research and technology division of P3 Polymers.

Two tracks. One material.

PCIC's research program runs on two parallel tracks: material science and application development. The commercial polymer concrete industry has conducted almost no forward-looking R&D in decades. PCIC exists to close that gap — and to write down what it finds along the way.

01 —
Material & Process Research

Cure science, formulation, mechanical behavior, durability, and manufacturing consistency. The questions that govern whether a polymer concrete part comes out right.

02 —
Application Research

Investigating polymer concrete in specific product categories — manholes, vaults, drainage structures, and beyond. Producing deployable solutions, not just feasibility studies.

The polymer concrete literature, annotated.

The PCIC Research Library is an annotated bibliography of the polymer concrete research literature — curated, evaluated, and organized by topic. Every entry includes a full citation, a link to the source, and our assessment of what the paper contributes and where the open questions remain.

It is the most comprehensive annotated polymer concrete bibliography publicly available. We know this because nothing else like it exists.

The documents behind polymer concrete practice, mapped.

The PCIC Standards Library organizes the product specifications, design guidance, qualification methods, material requirements, and interface standards engineers use to specify and evaluate polymer concrete systems.

Entries explain what each document governs—and just as importantly, what it does not. PCIC commentaries provide deeper guidance where a standard leaves consequential project decisions to the engineer.
